Pittsburgh, PA
From Boston Heights, OH we drove into the gorgeous town of Hudson – beautiful old houses and a Starbucks too ! In search of a lunch spot beside a river we took a detour down to Beaver River. Nothing. At least somewhat near the river off the beaten path we found a place that did not allow dogs – but since we were the only ones there (probably because no one could ever find the place) they kindly allowed us to eat with Spike on the patio. Partial river view – we just had to sit really upright!
We spent a few days in Pittsburgh with extended family on G’s side, enjoyed the luxury of staying in a “home” with kind and welcoming folk; and saw some touristy Pittsburgh sites like the Duquesne Incline (opened in 1877 and one of the last remaining working inclines in the country).
It overlooks Pittsburgh at the point where 3 rivers converge, the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio.
