We got a family portrait done.  The photographer was great at getting the boys and Spike to co-operate and smile; and it was fun playing with all the props !  We opted for a Cowboy saloon theme.

We then did a drive off the beaten road and traversed the Badlands National Park from south to north.  Unexpected terrain – lunar landscape type rocks and rock formations.  Called Badlands by Native American Indians and Canadian fur trappers due to the impossibility of traversing it.  Unfortunately we had no problem traversing it rather quickly and were pulled over for speeding.  Fortunately the Park is on Reservation land as opposed to Federal land and we paid the fine immediately with no insurance impact.

We experienced strong winds across the great plains and were amazed when we got to the Missouri River at its sheer expanse.

From an accommodation point of view there was very little available given the constant stream of bikers but we managed to find one of the last rooms.
